Breathing Techniques taught in Kundalini Yoga retreats are:
-Deep Breathing: Sitting comfortably, inhale through the nose and feel. Exhale expands the stomach through the nose and stomach feels like itnow contracts. Concentrate on each breath.
-Fast Breathing: A breath, powerful, continuous and fast. Involves breathing energetically twice per second through the nose to pump the stomach
Alternative Breathing: Performed by plugging one nostril and inhaling and breathing instead and vice versa.
Interrupted Breathing: Consists intervals inhaling, holding the breath with full lungs and out again at intervals.
Sitali Pranayama: the tongue is placed in channel form and inhaled air passing through it while you exhale through the nose.
-Whistle Brething: the lips are placed in a “U” so that exhaling causes a slight whistle.
